Get ready to explore the world of clay through a variety of exciting projects that incorporate the basic techniques of pinch, slab and coiled construction. Children will also experiment with patterns, textures and a variety of finishing methods.

Each class will introduce children to the wonderful medium of clay. Classes entail a wide range of exciting hand-building projects that include; animals, sculptures, containers, tiles and more. Both step-by-step projects and free experimentation will be supported and encouraged as each child’s skill level evolves.

Children will be introduced to many different types of clay-bodies and glazing techniques. All of which are completely safe and non-toxic. As the final process, their works of art will be fired in a professional kiln.

Tuition includes everything a young artist would need: clay, glazes, firing, supplies, materials, etc.
